What is chainmail jewellery?

Interlinking metal rings woven into a pattern. It began as a medieval armour technique and is now part of gothic and alternative fashion. Our pieces use box chain, Byzantine-inspired links and orbital ring structures in stainless steel.

What are the pieces made from?

Most pieces use stainless steel chain with alloy charms, metal spikes and decorative rings. Some designs include resin stones, glass crystals or acrylic elements. The dark silver finish comes from stainless steel and antique-silver-tone components.

Is it hypoallergenic?

Stainless steel is generally kinder to skin than many other metals. Some designs mix in plated or alloy parts, so we cannot guarantee that every piece is 100% nickel-free. If you have sensitive skin or a known nickel allergy, choose stainless-steel-focused designs or wear the piece over clothing.

Where is it made?

Every piece is designed in the UK and handcrafted in our artisan workshop in Vietnam.

How long does an order take?

Pieces are typically ready within 3–5 business days and dispatched within 1 business day. Tracked delivery then takes 5–20 working days depending on the destination. See Delivery & Returns for every destination.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, we ship worldwide and charge in US dollars. Orders may be subject to customs fees, import duties or local taxes, which are the buyer’s responsibility.

What is your return policy?

30-day returns for unused pieces in their original condition and packaging. Personalised and bespoke pieces cannot be returned unless faulty. Full details are on the Delivery & Returns page.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, within 12 hours of purchase for a full refund. After that, changes may not be possible once production or packing has begun.

Can I commission a custom piece?

Yes. Use the Atelier form to send us your idea and we will reply with a quote and timeline.

Is it gift ready?

Yes. Every piece ships in protective packaging suitable for gifting.
